We started Power in Numbers because we got tired of watching brilliant business owners shrink the moment someone said "EBITDA." Your numbers should make you braver, not smaller.
It started at a kitchen table.
Like a lot of good businesses, Power in Numbers was born from a real conversation. One founder said, "I have no idea if I'm actually profitable." The other said, "You are — you just can't read the spreadsheet yet."
That was the gap we set out to fix. Not just doing the books. Not just filing on time. But closing the distance between the business owner and their own numbers.
We are CPAs and bookkeepers, yes. But we're also women who have hired, fired, priced too low, priced too high, survived a cash crunch, and scaled past seven figures. We've sat in the owner's chair. We know the 2 a.m. worry. And we know that the right number at the right moment can make it stop.
So we built a place where finance feels like a conversation with a smart friend — not a test you didn't study for.

Hi, I'm Chantal Schutz — CPA, CA, and operator.
I've spent my career on both sides of the table — as a Chartered Professional Accountant, and as a founder who has built, scaled, hired, fired, priced too low, and survived more than one cash crunch. I know what the numbers feel like when you're the one signing the front of the cheque.
